Foolish Predictions

FOOLISH PREDICTIONS

Richard Leakey, the world renowned paleoanthropologist, evolutionist, and atheist, has predicted the end of skepticism over evolution.  “Sometime in the next 15 to 30 years, the Kenyan born Leakey expects scientific discoveries will have accelerated to the point that ‘even the skeptics can accept it’”, reported this week by the Associated Press.  Leakey further said, “If you get to the stage where you can persuade people on the evidence, that it’s solid, that we are all African, that colour is superficial, that stages of development of culture are all interactive, then I think we have a chance of a world that will respond better to global challenges.”

In Richard Leakey’s book, The Making of Mankind, he says that evolution is a fact and not a theory.  “Evolution can be shown to have happened and to talk of the theory of evolution is grossly misleading”, he says.  Further, he opposes to the teaching of Creationism calling it an “insane development”.

Will science prove the theory of evolution true?  Not true science.  The only kind of science that says evolution is a fact is pseudo science, which the Bible calls “oppositions of science falsely so called” (1 Timothy 6:20).  Evolutionists like Leakey, are incapable of finding the truth through their fossils because they wilfully reject God.  “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools… Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen” (Romans 1:21-25).  Nothing in true science contradicts the Bible, but proves it to be true.

Richard Leakey, now 67, is the son of Louis and Mary Leakey, the discoverers of the famed “Lucy” skeleton.  Interestingly, his grandparents came to Africa as Anglican missionaries.  Leakey rejects the authority of the Bible.  He skeptically said, “If you don’t like the word evolution—I don’t care what you call it—but life has changed.  You can lay out all the fossils that have been collected and establish lineages that even a fool [that’s what God calls him] could work up.  So the question is why, how does this happen? It’s not covered by Genesis.  There’s no explanation for the change going back 500 million years in any book I’ve read from the lips of any God.”

Other men throughout history have made foolish predictions.  Robert Ingersoll, the atheist, said, “’In 15 years I will have this book [the Bible] in the morgue’.  Fifteen years later he was in the morgue and in his estate sale a preacher bought his desk and spent his life writing sermons on it”.  Another skeptic, Voltaire, predicted in 1776, “100 years from my day there will not be a Bible in the earth except one that is looked upon by an antiquarian curiosity seeker”.  Both these men are dead, but the Bible is still the most widely published book ever.
